You've got to go through hell before you get to heaven

Happy Greetings!

I was just bopping down the road singing Steve Miller's "Jetliner" and it came to the part "You've got to go through hell before you get to heaven" and I thought bingo! That's the name of this month's blog!

Plan B

…or maybe Plan C, in any event, oftentimes things just don’t always work out as originally intended or planned.
..and so the story goes…

n. an experience of unrestrained excitement

BonJour!

It is December 31st and it is time to say Au Revoir to 2009 and to the ought’s of the 21st Century. It is a time to reflect upon all that has happened, not only just this past year but also during the past ten years ~ and it is a time of excitement of what is to happen in 2010 and in the next ten.

Sorghum Almond Cookies

OK...I got a thumbs up on this cookie that I baked for my trainer and friend, Teresa, who, sadly cannot eat any form of wheat or oats or any other grain that contains glutens......(tears falling down). The cookies have a nice spicy flavor and a light consistency - Nancy (another trainer at Infinate Dynamics) said that they taste like Lebkuchen...hmmmm YUM!
(they are vegan, too)
Sorghum Almond Drops
1 cup sorghum flour
1/2 cup almond meal

1/4 cup slivered almonds

1 tsp. cinnamon

Une Petit Douceur du Petit Soleil

BonJour and Happiest Greetings,

The last of the pumpkins, autumn leaves, sunflowers and the orange, black and brown ribbons have all been put away at both Petit and at our home. It is a bit sad, really, as I do love everything Fall…but
………..it IS beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

Harvest, an extra hour of sleep and the Wines of November

BonJour!

It is only eight in the morning on this first day of November and it is warm, bright and sunny out! I love when we “fall back” and the mornings get brighter and the evenings cozier.

I am not procrastinating...really!

BonJour all!

September Wines will Knock Your Socks Off....

BONJOUR!!!!! (in my best Julia Child voice),

It feels as if summer has just arrived! Toasty, toasty temps, but there is some hope for this Labor Day weekend. The weather forecast for SLO is to be a bit cooler as the winds shift and the morning fog returns to cool down the nighttime and morning hours...I am so ready! September welcomes in Fall (my favorite!).
