Zinfandel & Zydeco

Bonjour y'all!

In honor of Mardi Gras month this February, we will be celebrating our French counterpart N’awlins style with “Zynfandel and Zydeco.” The Crescent city can only be experienced as a feast for all the senses. It will be a combination extrodinaire with the flavors of the Big Easy coupled with the Zinfandels of the central coast in our provençal B & B. Awwhhh right! As an equally delightful experience for your ears, we will be snapping our fingers to the smooth beats of Zydeco… Bad a ba de bap bap badao! The colors and whimsies of the infamous parade will be well represented with streams of gold, purple, and green dazzling our dining room. Rack up your mardi gras bead collection right here…but of course we’ll just give them to you.

A handful of your favorite N’awlins Cajun recipes will take front stage that weekend such as praline pancakes, bananas foster baked French toast, and a bourbon fig cake. Arm in arm with the Zydeco will be some Cajun shrimp and andouille sausage. In the words of our favorite Big Easy chef…BAM, that’s flavah!

To all of you that won’t be goin’ down south this month, get your Creole fix on the central coast. John, Dianne, and all the Petit Soleil girls will be kickin’ in up right here with “Zynfandel & Zydeco” on February 20 and 21.
