Olive Oil Pancakes and Olive Oil Festival in Paso Robles August 22

Isn't Julie and Julia the happiest movie? John and I saw it the weekend it came out and we enjoyed it thoroughly! I guess if:

a.) you love to cook
b.) you love France
c.) you love Julia Child and her passion for food, cooking and France
d.) you love to eat

you will love Julie and Julia! And guys, it is not a "chick flick"!

Tomorrow, August 22, is the Paso Robles Olive Oil Festival. They say it is the largest in the country! Lots of olive oil tastings and demonstrations, food booths and some wine tastings as well. It should be fun and it is not supposed to be so awefully HOT this weekend in Paso. The festival runs from 10 a. - 5 p.

In honor of the Paso festival we served Olive Oil Pancakes this morning at Petit Soleil. Annie, our daughter and Petit Soleil employee extraordinaire, found this recipe on line and sent it to me (I get to review all new recipes first before they make it to the Petit breakfast). It looked yummy so we tried them today and the pancakes were really yummy and light and chocolate-y! Rave reviews, as well!
