January is Foodie Month!!!

With food havens like NOVO, Blue, The Park, and a wide choice of Italian, Japanese, Indian, and Thai digs, how could one argue? We have access to top organic produce, grass-fed meats, local artisan breads, and local olive oils. The chefs here know exactly what to do with high quality products, and they do it well.
Paso Robles hosts an equally impressive repertoire of eateries such as Artisan, Bistro Laurent, Panolivo, and Basil. The local wine bars serve not only your favorite Bordeaux red, but equally pleasing tapas and entrees. Enoteca and Level 4 are great examples of this.
So what better way to celebrate our fine restaurants than to have a month that features the creativity of our local chefs? Join us for “30 Days…3 Courses…30 Dollars,” hosted by eateries across the county. Each restaurant prepares a daily 3 course menu that may include wine pairings for each course. We have a list of all the participating restaurants and menus here for your perusal.
Your appetite for all things local will get even more pleased with the Tolosa Winery and Cracked Crab of Pismo Beach’s, “Crab and Chardonnay Fetê, ” on January 24th. For those of you that just can’t stay out of the kitchen, SLO has its very own cooking studio where anyone can learn the tricks of the trade. The Garden’s Kitchen is housed in a renovated warehouse with a lounge and a bar where students learn skills while sipping a glass of wine. Oh, how très Français! This month, the Garden’s Kitchen will host a French Country cooking class featuring dishes like Moules Frites and Poulet Basque.
January is the time to celebrate SLO’s finest! Bon Appetit!
