A Jamboree of Jubilant Juice for June!

...remember when your kids were in elementary school and they had to do an alphabet book using alliteration?
"Alice's alligator ate Aunt Annie's army of ants"
The pencils and crayons created colorful alligators and ants and Aunts and then it was time to move on to "B"!
"Barbara's beatnik Bobcat banged on the bongo"
and then "C"! and "D"! ..... We would talk in alliterations during dinner time and throughout the evening ...lots of fun!
...and remember..."A my name is Annie and my husband's name is Andrew and we come from Alabama and we sell anteaters"..? Love it! bouncing the ball and then "X" come along and the thought process intensifies....where do you come from?
I will never grow up!

I will, though, share with you the promised list of stellar wines for June!
........................
Penman Springs 2007 Muscat Blanc A bone dry, floral delight from Penman Springs Winery in Paso Robles. AH!!! SUMMER!
Chateau Julien 2007 Pinot Grigio Monterey County's gorgeous Chateau Julien's refreshing Pinot Grigio...always has been a fave with Petit's guests
Curtis Winery 2007 Heritage Blanc Curtis Winery has blended a lovely duo of Rhone grapes, Viognier and Marsanne, to make this rich and well structured blanc
Jaboulet Parallele 45 Rose What can I say? I am a huge fan of French Rhone Roses and I am working to convert our guests to roses - at least TRY IT!
Clayhouse 2007 Adobe Red We tried this wine at a tasting and thought it to be delish! I am a big Zinfandel fan and this is a Zin blend from Paso Robles. Check out Clayhouse wines on line, or read all about them at Petit!
Sinor-LaVallee 2007 Syrah Oh, my! This wine knocks my socks off! Mike Sinor is a Cal Poly grad and has been making incredible wines wherever he goes! This is his baby, so it is really special - rich and full bodied - 25 months in French oak! .......Graduation Weekend!!!
Verdad 2007 Tempranillo This Tempranillo is a lusty red wine from Santa Barbara County's Verdad Winery. This wine has been a huge hit at Petit for a while....so delish with salami rolls and sausage!

We have information and tasting notes on all the wines at Petit. I am sure you have noticed that we don't often highlight Merlots, or Pinot Noirs, or Chardonnays or Cabernet Sauvignons because you can find them everywhere. We do love to turn our guests on to esoteric and distinct wines that might never ventured into....the world of weird, wonderful and whimsical wines!

Shall I draw and color a picture?

Having fun, as always,
Dianne
