Internet fun and a new Petites Recettes book
BonJour!
I could never understand people that could spend hours on the computer. or the internet. What are they doing? What can they be looking at? John is constantly surfing who know what, and Annie and Andrew are always on the internet..... WHAT COULD BE SO INTERESTING?
Hello?
OK, so I have been online for about three, almost four hours now reading blogs, recipes, Facebooking, ordering a new pair of Tom's shoes, checking emails, writing this blog etc. I was even on You Tube watching a" how to make Origami cranes" video (I want to make them out of French newspapers, and cookbook pages and other fun papers and string them around Petit's dining room - what do you think?). So, hello, Dianne! Now I get it! Anything is possible on the internet.....whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa!
While surfing, I actually did find some new recipes to try at Petit Soleil and possibly add to the fourth printing of our recipe collection, Petites Recettes. I always keep the original "favorites" and I will add new fun and delicious recipes, as well. Plus, Kortney is designing a new cover - something colorful and fresh that will invite you to take a peek inside. I can't wait for you to try the Dukah recipe paired with the Olea Farms olive oil... with a glass of Pinot Noir or Syrah? Amazing!
And speaking of recipes, our guest, Roberta Lighty's, gave me the best complement yesterday! Her friend, a Culinary Arts Teacher AND Petit Soleil guest, used our scone recipe and our strata recipe to make brunch treats for a reception at Mills High School. The strata and the scones received rave reviews from all- they said the "best scones eve"r! I love those stories! Thanks, Roberta, you made my day!
So, be on high alert for your new recipe collection, new C'est la Vie T-Shirts and new aprons! You might even find all these goodies on the internet one day.
Bon Appetit!
....and Happy Surfing and Happy Tummies!
